
Nanotechnology - area of applied science and the technics, engaged studying of properties of objects and development of devices of the sizes of the order nanometer (on system of SI, 1*10^(-9) meters). Nanotechnology qualitatively differs from traditional engineering disciplines as on such scales habitual, macroscopical, technologies of the reference with a matter are often inapplicable, and the microscopic phenomenon, scornfully weak on habitual scales, become much more significant: properties and interactions of separate atoms and molecules, quantum effects.
Nanotechnology now is in an initial stage of development as the basic opening predicted in this area, are not made yet. Nevertheless carried out researches already yield practical results. Use in nanotechnology the advanced scientific results allows to carry it to high technologies. At work with such small sizes quantum effects and effects of intermolecular interactions are shown, such as Van-der-Vaalsov's interactions. Nanotechnology and, in particular, molecular technology - the new areas very poorly investigated. Development of modern electronics goes on a way of reduction of the sizes of devices. On the other hand, classical methods of manufacture approach to the natural economic and technological barrier when the size of the device decreases not much more, but economic expenses increase exponential. Nanotechnology - a following logic step of development of electronics and other high technology manufactures.
